Welcome Letter 2020

Hello to you! We hope the new year and the new decade has sparked a renewed passion for emergency nursing.  

Central Virginia Emergency Nurses Association officers this year are Donna Talbot (President), Alexus Moore (President-Elect), Lisa Dickinson (Treasurer), and Julie McLeod (Secretary, and this letter writer). The CVENA hopes to have representation from each of the area hospital systems and every kind of emergency department this year.

We are hopeful to increase participation at our meetings in 2020. Nursing students are extended a warm welcome to join us for learning and networking opportunities. Our bimonthly meetings are hosted at rotating hospital campuses or at local restaurants. Attendance at meetings in person allows you to open dialogue with fellow professionals, to become aware of upcoming educational events, and to apply for annual scholarship money. Our first chapter meeting of 2020 will be on February 22nd from 1730 until approximately 1930 at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Room #163. Please join us!
